When is Father's Day 2023?
Unlike Mother’s Day, which varies depending on which country you come from, the Father’s Day date is the same in the UK, US and Canada and falls this year on Sunday 18 June 2023.
So, why do we celebrate Father's Day?
Supposedly, Father’s Day was invented by American, Mrs Sonora Smart in honour of her father, a veteran and single parent, who raised his six children in the 1880s. Since then, Father’s Day is the day we choose to treat our dads as superheroes!
In all the superhero movies, they nearly always have a sidekick who knows about their secret superpowers.
It’s lonely work if you don’t have someone to fly the world with and hold up the globe.
